Reporting to parents

YEARS 7, 8 AND 9

Reporting of student progress comes in a variety of formats:

  • Grade reports are sent out every two terms (short terms)
  • Full reports are annual
  • The Lower School assessment period takes place in June of each year and is followed by an information letter outlining the results
  • Parent consultation evenings are annual. Please see the academy calendar for details
  • Surgeries are held on parent/school request. This is an informal opportunity for parents/carers and  Heads of Year / form tutors to discuss any issues related to academic and pastoral care
  • There is a constant two-way contact between subject staff and parents as and when appropriate.
  • If you would like someone to contact you please email the School Office, stating your daughter’s name and tutor group.

YEAR 10

  • Mock exams take place in June of the academic year and are followed up with an information sheet to parents
  • Parent consultation evenings are annual
  • Surgeries are held on parent/school request. This is an informal opportunity for parents/carers and form tutors to discuss any issues related to academic or pastoral care
  • There is constant two way contact between subject staff and parents as and when appropriate.

YEAR 11

Reporting of student progress comes in a variety of formats:

  • Grade reports are sent out every two terms( short terms)
  • Full reports are annual
  • Year 11 mock examinations take place in Terms 2 and 4. Students receive an information letter outlining the results from each set of mock exams.
  • Parent consultation evenings are annual
  • Students in Year 11 are also invited to additional parent/carer evenings held by the Senior Leadership team of the academy. These are particularly for students who need additional support and challenge in order to reach and exceed their GCSE target grades.
